Whewell came to Gunyah to live in 2022, when he was about 6 weeks old. His human had ongoing health concerns which resulted in lots of trips back and forth to Melbourne for treatment. She had to rehome some of her much loved birds.

Upon arrival, it was clear that Whewell was quite malnourished. It was touch and go initially as to whether he would be strong enough to make it, but thankfully he did and is now a big strong, growing tom. He came in with Muir, and this loveable duo are always together.
